Favorite Things 2020

Welcome to my list of 2020’s Favorite Things!

These are items I love and use almost daily. I have received lots of messages about last year’s list and hope you enjoy this year’s updated list.

Zojirushi hot water dispenser – my trusty indispensable dispenser, an old favorite that I can safely say will use for the rest of my life. I consume drinks at a temperature of 195F, 90% of the time!

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream – this is a very effective, heavy duty moisturizer for the driest skin without feeling the least bit greasy. Our whole family uses it, especially for our extraordinary dry hands. Ceramides and hyaluronic acid provide the ultimate hydration, and I find it works much better than Eucerin, Cetaphil, or Vaseline.

Brushed Tech Joggers – perfect fit, material, price point, and unbelievably soft! I live in these joggers – I’ve gotten too used to wearing scrubs at the hospital and pjs at home that I needed something just as comfortable while running errands but more outside appropriate and found these to be the best!

Zojirushi vacuum insulated mug – this is probably my most frequently used item. It keeps my hot drinks hot even after 6 hours, and my cold drinks cold. I loved this travel mug so much, I have 3 of the same model in different colors.

Klairs Illuminiating BB Cream – this is the essence of Korean beauty products – natural and multifunctional! Hydrating, light coverage bb cream with SPF40 which is a long-time favorite, a my-skin-but-better type of product.

Sapadilla hand soap in rosemary + mint – this has been my go-to hand soap pretty much a decade. I have one to accompany every sink in the house. I also like to give these as gifts to others, it’s pretty and I love the light mint scent.

Ororo Heated Fleece Jacket with Battery Pack – my husband knows me well – over the years, Duane has given me Christmas presents with a similar theme – heated pocket warmers, heated blankets, a heated mattress pad, a portable heater, and now for the ultimate: a heated jacket in which I can layer it under my parka during extra cold photoshoots! 3 carbon fiber heating elements generate heat across core body areas with 3 heating settings. Last for up to 10 hours. What can I say? I like to be super warm even if I set my house temperature to 23 and still bundle up.

Zavida Hazelnut Vanilla Medium Roast Beans – what a great find this year! Zavida has amazing flavored coffees, and I like the hazelnut vanilla the most! I also buy their flavored coffees in single serve sizes (Chocolate Raspberry, Bavarian Chocolate, English Toffee, etc). Although I do like my nespresso on days off, I like being able to bring a tall thermos of flavored coffee to work.

Glerups slippers – these wool felt slippers replaced my Kyrgies this year. I like the grey color and they are so very comfortable. It’s like walking on clouds. If these slippers wear out next year, I’m straight up buying another pair!

Po Ma Almond Powder – ever since I was a little girl, I have loved this almond flavored hot drink. I add about 2 tsp to a cup of hot water and it’s my favorite way to unwind at the end of the day.

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant – I have used this for over 20+ years several times a week. It’s irreplaceable and I feel has done the most for my skin texture, smoothness, and tone. I’ve tried to use other alternatives because it’s expensive ($25USD/4oz) but I haven’t found anything that is as effective.

Hope you enjoyed my list of 2020 Favorite Things!
